I bought a Life chair four years ago. It is delightful to sit on, as I work from home regularly - I can't fault that. However, in the last few months, the vinyl covering on both the arms has started to break up into pieces, exposing the foam below it. Unfortunately the warranty is only for three years, so either I live with it, or purchase replacement arms (which is possible).
This wasn't from hard wear - I use it in the same way as I use my chair in my workplace, which is going along just fine.
I found this disappointing, given the otherwise high quality of the chair.
